When I was 10 years old

Summary of sailing career:

Started sailing at NOSS Centre. Joined the school’s Optimist programme. Converted to the 420 at 16 and went to three Youth Worlds, two SEA games and one Asian Games. Eventually made it into the 470 Olympic Squad.

I am too short to sail any other classes and I like double-handed classes.

Can’t remember, some optimist championship a long time ago.

What is the single most important piece of sailing advice you could give to a young sailor?

Don’t be afraid in strong winds. Capsizing is the worst thing that can happen to you.

What would you be doing if you were not sailing?

Studying full-time, going for my Medical degree.
