Summary of sailing career:

Started out sailing the 420 with any available helm.  In January 2006, started intensive training with Shaw Her.  Finally in June 2006, I got my permanent helm, Liying.

Why did you take up sailing?

To see whether I could do good in another sport

Because my physical attributes were ideal for the 470.

When was your first win (list event)?

470 Worlds 2006, Liying and I came in first for the last qualifying race, which helped put us in the Gold fleet.

What is the single most important piece of sailing advice you could give to a young sailor?

Training one’s fitness is equally important as training one’s sailing skills.

What would you be doing if you were not sailing?

Flying the friendly skies with Singapore Airlines.

To qualify for the 2008 Olympics.
