Greetings from Pattaya
The team continues along with great spirit, energy, enthusiasm and camaraderie and everyone is eager for the games to begin.
Over the last few days we have seen a change of weather pattern to light, off-shore winds and our training continues to go along very well. Today we had an awesome training day across all classes.
Today saw the arrival of our 470 sailors who have been training in Australia under the Olympic program. They have been undertaking some pretty hard-core work over the past 12 months with the Olympic campaign and in recent months intensive work in Sydney and Melbourne. They have come in with high spirits and raring to go.
Uncle Edwin and Uncle Quintin have the containers set up like a real mobile home and we have developed a canopy for sun protection as it gets very hot during the day and quite dry (low humidity).
Last night at dinner Nana put on a slide show of all our photos so far which was hilarious, including a cross-eyed photo of herself.
The morning PT is always fun, run by Uncle Quintin, and no one is ever late !! Either the sailors really love it, or they are scared of the big man. Cannot blame them really.
So until the next up-date, thanks for your on-going support.
Everything is very good here!
Cheers
Andrew Sanders
