Dear all
Well the first day of competition was a tough affair.
We had some very peculiar wind, a combination of onshore and offshore breeze making the wind go around in circles.
Even with these difficult conditions our sailors did pretty well.
Funniest thing that happened was Daniella got a small splinter in her foot from the board walk. We took her to the nursing post to get it out but ended up being put in an ambulance and taken to the hospital (lost in translation?). Daniella and I were laughing all the way as the ambulance sped through Pattaya to the hospital. We kept saying “it's just a splinter, it's just a splinter”. Anyway at the hospital the splinter was extracted in about – woah 10 seconds. We were back at the club very quickly and she was back running around – very efficient medical service!!
All is good with the team and we are looking forward to the day's challenges.
Thanks for your support.
Best regards
Andrew
