SailSmart
is a new programme developed by the Singapore Sailing Federation, aimed at introducing children to the sport of sailing. SailSmart participants do not only learn the technical aspects of sailing, they are also guided to discover the sciences behind sailing and explore the seaside environment in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

SailSmart is not just about learning how to sail. We want sailing to become a passion for the children but at the same time, allow them to pick up important character-development skills such as leadership, teamwork and decision-making. Ultimately, we want the children to have fun and we firmly believe that in a fun environment, the children learn best.

Are you dynamic, passionate and young (or young at heart)?  Do you love the outdoors and enjoy working with the youth and children?

You might just be the person we are looking for to join our team of fun-loving and caring instructors!

Don’t worry if you have no experience in sailing, facilitating outdoor activities and experiential learning, fret not. Additional training and self-improvement courses will be provided for short-listed instructors.

Want to know more?  You are cordially invited to attend the SailSmart Instructors' Recruitment Talk to find out more about SailSmart and a potential career with us. The talk will be held on 30 August 2008, Saturday from 12.30pm to 1.30pm.  The venue will be at the National Sailing Centre Auditorium.

To RSVP for the talk or for more information about SailSmart, please contact
