2026 Level 1 Conversion Course

The 2026 Level 1 Conversion Course is designed for young sailors who want to transition from Optimist (Opti) to ILCA, building strong fundamentals for the next stage of competitive sailing.

Course Overview

• Duration: 2 half-day sessions

• 📌 Limited slots available – register early! - Participants must book two (2) consecutive course dates at the time of registration.

• Focus Areas:

  • Transition techniques from Opti to ILCA

  • Boat rigging and de-rigging

  • Boat handling and basic sailing skills specific to ILCA

• Who it’s for: Opti sailors preparing for ILCA racing

Course Schedule

Weekdays:
🕒 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Weekends:
🕤 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Requirements

• Age: 13–17 years old

• Certification: Must have obtained Opti Racer Certification
