SG-Coach Level 2 Course

Welcome to our Level 2 coaching course, designed to deepen your expertise in coaching and expand your capacity to support athlete development in competitive sailing environments. This course builds on Level 1 foundations, with a focus on refining your coaching philosophy, applying sport science principles in greater depth, and enhancing your ability to design and deliver developmentally appropriate training sessions.

Pre-Requisites:

• Hold a valid SG-Coach Level 1 certificate in sailing/windsurfing/wingfoiling
• Strong passion and commitment to long-term athlete development
• Possess a valid Powered Pleasure Craft Driving License (PPCDL) and Standard First Aid with CPR & AED certification
• Experience in coaching at an intermediate-level programme or above, or personally raced extensively at the National level or above

Module 7 - Strength & Conditioning

In addition to the modules stated in the course content, participants will be required to:

1) Take the SG-Coach Theory Level 2 and Intermediate Sports Science examinations at Republic Polytechnic (examination fees excluded in this course).

Exemption Information:

1. You are required to provide your SportSync ID during the registration process. If you do not have a SportSync ID, kindly register with SportSync beforehand.
2. Participants with the following certifications may request an exemption from examinations:
   1. Intermediate Sport Science (ISS)

Registration Information:

1. A minimum of 3 participants is required for the course to be run.
2. To faciliate course administration, registration will close 2 weeks prior to the commencement of the course. No exceptions will be made.
