To support the growth of WingFoil coaching in Singapore, the Singapore Sailing Federation has introduced the WingFoil Coach Pilot Scheme under the SG-Coach Level 1 Course. This initiative aims to address key barriers limiting the expansion of the WingFoil coaching pool — namely, concerns over course costs and the need to increase WingFoil coaching in Singapore.
To be eligible for this scheme, interested coaches must:
- Register for the SG-Coach Level 1 Course and make full payment of the course fee.
- Obtain endorsement from your club’s Programme Manager to support your registration.
- Notify the Singapore Sailing Federation of your interest in the scheme via the survey link here: https://www.sailing.org.sg/surveys/8079
- Attend the SG-Coach Level 1 Course.
- Within 1 year of course completion, fulfil both of the following requirements:
-
Attain full NROC membership; and
-
Coach 10 WingFoil sessions under your club’s programme.
-
-
Upon meeting the above requirements, the Singapore Sailing Federation will reimburse the full course fee.
Note: This scheme is a pilot initiative and will be reviewed in 2026 to assess its effectiveness in developing the WingFoil coaching community.
For more information or any other questions, please email the Singapore Sailing Federation at info@singaporesailing.org.sg. We aim to respond within 5 working days.
