Announcement: Pesta Sukan 2026 – Expanded to Two Weekends of Celebration!
We are excited to announce that Pesta Sukan 2026 is growing! To better celebrate our nation’s 61st birthday and accommodate our expanding fleet of sailors, the event has been rescheduled from its original single-weekend slot to two action-packed weekends in July and August.
Join us at the National Sailing Centre for a festival of sail that combines high-performance racing with traditional maritime heritage and community festivities.
Weekend 1: The Open Water Festival (25–26 July)
The first weekend kicks off with a focus on festival racing and our developmental pathways.
- Saturday, 25 July – Open Water Festival Passage Race: A spectacular passage race for all classes. This race will feature a mid-gate finish and a final finish. For our Optimist Silver and Board classes (Techno, iQFOiL, WingFoil), these finishes will count as individual race scores toward your overall Pesta Sukan series. For all other classes, this remains a standalone festival event with its own dedicated prizes.
- Sunday, 26 July – Fleet Racing: High-energy fleet racing continues for the Optimist Silver Fleet and all Board classes.
- SG61 Celebrations & Heritage: In honour of Singapore’s 61st birthday, we will be hosting the traditional Jong Race and a variety of shore-side activities for families and spectators. Come down to experience this unique piece of our local maritime culture!
Weekend 2: 1–2 August
The second weekend shifts the focus to other classes as they battle for the Pesta Sukan titles.
- Races for other Classes: Two days of intensive fleet racing for theOptimist Gold Fleet, ILCA 4, 6, and 7 and 29er.
- Pesta Sukan Prizes: The weekend will conclude with the crowning of our 2026 champions.
