Meritorious award for our junior optimist sailors

After winning back-to-back silvers in team racing at the 2024 and 2025 Optimist World Championships, our junior sailors were awarded the Meritorious Award in the Team category by the Singapore National Olympic Council. The team consists of (from left to right) Zeph Wann, Sean Kum, Desiree Lee, Ethan Chia and Pee Teck Woon.

Congratulations to our 2025 Pesta Sukan Champions!

โ›ต๏ธ HERE ARE YOUR PESTA SUKAN CHAMPIONS ๐Ÿ… After the scorching heat of the first day, our sailors were faced with torrential rain on day two as the AP flag was flown. The D flag was finally hoisted just before 2 pm as racing got underway. The ILCA 4 sailors completed two races, with Nigel Tan winning both races. In the ILCA 6 class, the sailors all completed just one race. Keira Carlyle clinched the title after finishing fourth in the last race.

Ryan Lo wins fifth Meritorious Award (Individual)

โ›ต๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฌ RYAN LO WINS FIFTH INDIVIDUAL MERITORIOUS AWARD Our two-time Olympian, Ryan Lo, collected his fifth Meritorious Award in the Individual category during the 2025 Singapore Sports Awards. Ryan previously won the award in 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2022. โ€œI feel privileged to be still able to compete and represent Singapore at the international stage and honoured to be recognised by the Singapore sporting fraternity with this award,โ€ said Ryan.

Max Maeder wins Sportsman of the Year

โ›ต๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฌ MAX MAEDER WINS SPORTSMAN OF THE YEAR Congratulations to Max Maeder for winning the Sportsman of the Year at the 2025 Singapore Sports Awards! Max is the first sailor to win the top menโ€™s award since Siew Shaw Her in 1999. Shaw Her won gold in the menโ€™s 420 class at the 1998 Asian Games.

Three medals clinched at the Pattaya International Championships

๐Ÿ…Three medals clinched at the Pattaya International Championships ๐Ÿ„๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฌ Our windsurfers brought home three medals from the Pattaya International Championships amidst challenging wind conditions. Angyal Chew clinched the gold medal in the iQFOIL Youth U19 Women class following three wins out of eight races. Her sister Angel Chew also got bronze in the iQFOIL Open Women class after winning her first race.
